On Thursday December 18th, 2025, Local 1231 threw their annual Christmas party at the IAM District 78 Office in Etobicoke. A perfect culmination of Election night when Stephanie Maratta was elected as Vice President and Juliana Aboagye – Kusi was elected as Conductor Sentinel of Local 1231.
The festivities kicked off with a lavish, delicious dinner, followed by a round of games and a raffle draw. There was a smile on all the member’s faces and everyone received a delicious party favour and delightful gifts.
The Social Committee that hosted the event outdid themselves. It was a great way to show appreciation to the dedicated members who work hard every day to provide excellent service to their clients in the community.
Chief of Staff of Canada Ralph Martin, International Representative Kim Valliere and International Representative – Political Action Derek Ferguson, graced the occasion and gave short inspiring speeches, that were well received by the members.
