The IAM Union is deeply committed to uplifting its female members through a variety of dedicated programs, committees, and advocacy initiatives. At District 78, we actively champion the efforts of all our Locals and their women’s committees, creating a strong network of support.

Local 1231 Women’s Committee – Spectrum Health Care, a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, have kicked-off an inspiring donation drive called “Toe-Tally.” This “sole-full” campaign aims to collect new socks of all kinds and sizes. Many shelters and outreach programs have highlighted that socks are among the most requested yet least donated essential items, making this drive particularly vital.

The Toe-Tally campaign will run until December 18th, and the committee will then deliver the collected socks to the Family Life Resource Centre in Brampton. This center provides crucial outreach, housing assistance, counselling, and an array of support services for children and families in need.

For those wishing to contribute, the donation box can be found in the front lobby of the District 78 Office. Your generosity and support can make a real difference in the lives of those seeking assistance.
