On March 8th, 2026, members of our local, proudly participated in the 2026 International Women’s Day celebration hosted by the Peel Regional Labour Council (PRLC) International Women’s Day Committee. The event brought together union members, community advocates, and allies to recognize the contributions of women and renew the commitment to equality.
International Women’s Day is both a celebration and a call to action, acknowledging the tremendous efforts of women across social, cultural, economic, and political spheres while continuing the fight for equality. The gathering honoured the struggles and achievements of women and strengthened solidarity within the labour movement and the broader community.
Our sincere thanks to the PRLC and the International Women’s Day Committee for organizing such a meaningful event, and to everyone who attended to celebrate, connect, and commit to the work ahead.
